Managing Principal Heather Hamilton co-presented “An Accounting Preparation Primer and the Court’s View of the Perfect Accounting” at The 26th Annual Professional Fiduciary Association of California’s (PFAC) Educational Conference in Coronado. Hamilton described the process used to prepare a fiduciary accounting, including the basic concepts and methodology. She further demonstrated the way to present complex issues to best tell the story of administration. Co-presenters Hon. Judge Roger Lund and Kelly Berlingeri, Esq. provided valuable insight on the details and substance required for court approval. Co-presenter Scott M. McDonald of the Merrill Lynch Special Needs Team outlined the appropriate investment strategies for conservatorships, special needs trusts, and probate matters to complete the discussion.
