The FAS team was thrilled to attend and exhibit at the 9th Annual Special Needs Symposium from February 6th through February 8th. The three-day conference at the Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa provided expert knowledge and education for professionals who plan for individuals with disabilities and administer special needs trusts. Sessions included discussions on preserving and protecting government benefits and financial security of those with special needs, establishing and administering special needs trusts, and upholding fiduciary responsibilities. Additionally, the conference presented a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues while experiencing the fabulous offerings of the wine country.
FAS also sponsored and attended the East Bay Trust and Estate Lawyers (EBTEL) Recent Developments program at Preservation Park in Oakland on February 12th. The annual event features a highly educational and entertaining review of the latest developments in both Federal and California tax, estate planning, probate, elder, and trust law.
